Our Rules
My Po!nt is a space of joy, expression, and courage. It is built on mutual respect and dialogue. We create it together: responsibly, democratically, and with care. Whether you are a participant, artist, volunteer, or organizer, you contribute to My Po!nt. By taking part, you agree to the following principles.
1. A Space We Create Together
- My Po!nt operates in a democratic spirit. It's not just an event—it's a community.
- Every action, and every inaction, creates an atmosphere and sense of safety.
- We believe in conversation, shared responsibility, and reacting when something isn't working.
- If you see a problem, try to address it. If you are unsure how, report it!
- We judge behaviors, not people. We assume good intentions.
2. Respect and Inclusivity
- We respect the diversity of identities, experiences and forms of expression.
- We do not accept discrimination or ridicule in any context or form.
- We use the names and pronouns people ask us to use.
- If you are unsure, ask openly and politely.
- We believe in honest and open communication.
3. Safety and well-being
- We care for one another and always put people first.
- Pay attention to whether someone may be feeling overwhelmed. Ask if they need support.
- We act with common sens and follow the law and applicable safety rules.
- We do not bring illegal substances or alcohol into the festival area.
- Alcohol is permitted only during designated integration evenings and only in the spaces assigned for those events.
4. Safety and well-being at larps
- We do not engage in intense scenes without making sure the other person wants it.
- In larp we consciously separate reality from fiction, and players from their roles.
- We used established safety techniques. Using them is a sign of responsibility, not weakness.
- We share responsibility for our collective experience, it dows not rest on one person alone.
5. Consent and Boundaries
- We communicate our needs and boundaries. We respect the needs and boundaries of others.
- We prevent unpleasant, harmful or oppressive situations before they escalate.
- Consent is fundamental. We expect consent expressed in a clear and unambiguous manner.
- We do not tolerate: harassment, intimidation, stalking, unwanted sexual comments, unwanted flirting or propositions; or physical or verbal aggression. If someone asks you to stop, you stop. No arguments.
6. Responding and Reporting
- We build a culture of empathy, not indifference. React when something feels wrong.
- We believe misunderstandings can be clarified and prevented in the future.
- We have the right to make mistakes when we are able to admit them, apologize and learn from them.
- If you feel that any behavior requires attention, please report it to a member of the organization.
- You can report the situation anonymously.
- We treat every report seriously and confidentially.
- The organization may issue a warning, limit participation, or remove a person from the event.
- The safety of the community takes priority over the comfort of someone who knowingly violates the rules.
7. Privacy and image
- We respect that for some, attending a queer festival is a private matter.
- We provide a visible marker for those who do not wish to be photographed.
- During larps, only designated photographers may take photos.
- All photos will be reviewed before publication.
- If you wish to photograph and publish someone’s image in open festival spaces, obtain their consent first.
- Accredited photojournalists may be present in open spaces and will be informed of the festival’s photo policy.
